Lol, I love those maps because you can create chokepoints with rocks and shit. However, I believe the map selection is relative to where you are, if you're in Russia, yeh, it's likely to be forest. If you're in Sahara, it's going to be empty dunes.

Actually, starting with someone like the Soininke, isn't that bad. I started with Irish and Ivar the Boneless with 6k troops holding Dublin is kind of a problem.

Sorry, reinstall helped.

Now stopped working completely. Won't start.

Somehow, now this works. I'm playing with a different Irish count(ess) but when starting with Ulster, it always would think that I am my opponent when switching to Bannerlord :D

I encountered a bug, as well. I had a peasant uprising somewhere around modern County Kerry in Ireland and when trying to fight that battle in CB, it would always crash. I couldn't make out what was the problem from the report, but volcano, fire and something like that was mentioned in the stack trace. So, I'm thinking it might be a map problem, it happened every time and I might have the save game or report if someone wants to see.

Lemme see if I can manage something. You wrote above it doesn't work for non-steam, which I cannot test since I have Steam. I don't know how it would work that way, though... It is quite straightforward. You have to check that you aren't running any campaign mods or others in Bannerlord because that will likely break it (some, like battle realism AI are great with this, and bloodmod works, hopefully, soon dismemberment).

Then you literally double-click CK3, press play and once it is at least in the main menu view (or any other, you can go ahead and load a game or start a campaign), you can alt+tab out or have Crusader Blade running already and click "Play" on the small window. That should start Bannerlord dialog where you check that no additional mods are selected but all the main ones are (storymode, custombattle etc.). Then it eventually gives you a loading screen and throws you back to CK3 after which, you should be able to see the axe icon in battles.

Ok, I actually saw on Discord that someone else had this issue. And that the mod should be achievement-compliant, which is great! The resolution was to switch sides with cheats, though, no other way? I'd rather have the cheat function off and take the result as it comes, although, there are few ways to get edge in Bannerlord, it's not outright kill'em'all cheat :)

Uh, now I have a real issue with the mod. It seems to turn around the winner and loser in the battles :D I tested this few times, always the same result. Anyone else experiencing this?

For running the mod: Download from above, I have the mod folder in the "common" root folder under Steam. From there, I just start CrusaderBlade, then it says to run CK3 first, I start CK3 and then ALT + TAB or "Win button" + D to get to the desktop, run CB, it starts Bannerlord and takes you back to CK3. Then, when a battle starts on the map, after the initial skirmish (you have to let time pass a little, the troops won't kill each other, yet), you will see the axe icon which will take you to fight the battle in Bannerlord. There is also the option "Always play as a ruler" which I believe should be off.

But can't really use it if I lose when I win :D

And I want to emphasize for some people here putting pressure on modders like "well, that was a lie". You only have the right to ask if you pay for it, simple as that.

(1 edit)

Hi mate, this mod is mind-blowingly good, it actually opens the way of thinking how you could play certain scenes in different "main games" or "plot controller" games with other ones that are specifically good in that area. Any possibility to support other than patreon (i'm not there, nor am I planning to be)?

Few notes:

-Have you tried to ask from Paradox forums or support to add this mod to the achievement & ironman compatible list? Would be AWESOME :) You would have to recheck that the cheat mode in Bannerlord cannot be used in the battles probably.

- City battles / Sieges. They are the salt and butter of Bannerlord, please add, although I understand the problematics when the siege mechanics are so different in these games :)

- I'm not sure if the traits translate in any way? My superhuman giant titan berserker commander seems pretty "soft" on the field compared to my Bannerlord char... If this is by design so that one unit couldn't do too much alone, it's okay, but I cannot at least see any of the formation or party bonus traits when deploying. Do they exist? With prowess 50ish that seems to translate lvl 50 char in the battle would have insane stats in bannerlord for different formation bonuses. I guess you would have to differentiate between stats that help in leadership and those that make the unit just simply tough 1-1. I could help if you want like an array format or json from crusader kings to bannerlord skills? Not sure if it makes the workload any less but let me know if it would.

- I guess this is under development but lacking items from the inventory (I guess the weapon, mainly), prevents some bannerlord combat mods from working (like dismemberment, pure visual mod as I understand). Unfortunately, I have to keep playing on 1.4.4 version since I took some expansion  by Oddy which would practically kill half of the characters due to poor traits if I remove it and it isn't compatible with the new version...

- Lethality doesn't work in the 1.4.4. compatible version at least. no one dies pretty much, is there a setting to fix this?
